National Playlist Day encourages personal playlists for people living with dementia

National Playlist Day encouraged people across the UK to make their own personal playlists on Friday 18th September. The campaign says meaningful music is benefitting thousands of people living with dementia. It began in 2022. Supporters have held fundraising concerts and pop-up gigs with The Twilight Sad and The Bluebells. Local artists have created music-themed murals with people living with dementia. Features on BBC Breakfast with Celebrity Ambassador Sir Alex Ferguson reached millions of viewers.
Personal playlists connect thousands of people living with dementia in the UK. Through song, they draw people together.
