Missing person found safe ashore after West Shore lifeboat launch

A missing person was found safe ashore while Conwy RNLI volunteers were heading towards Llandudno's West Shore on Thursday 29 October. Pagers sounded at 8.10pm, and the inshore lifeboat Enid & John Hislop launched with three volunteer crew aboard, a Conwy RNLI spokesperson said.
The crew made their way towards West Shore in darkness and at low water. They were still on the way when confirmation came that the person had been located and was safe ashore.
The volunteers were stood down and returned to the station, where they cleaned the lifeboat and made it ready for service again.
The spokesperson said: "Thank you to all our volunteer lifeboat crew and shore crew who attended."
Conwy RNLI advised anyone who sees someone in difficulty along the coastline to call 999 and ask for HM Coastguard.
