Landlord tells tenant of 23 years she can keep the rented home
Jane Sayner started hunting for a rental more than 23 years ago and settled on a two-bedroom unit with a garden in St Albans, north-west of Melbourne. She has no regrets about the move. Her landlord, John Perrett, an 83-year-old pharmacist, football player, property investor and philanthropist who built a multi-million-dollar fortune, called to tell her she could keep the property. "It changed my life," Sayner said.
Jane Sayner, a renter for more than two decades, now owns the home she has lived in all that time.
