Kaysville woman becomes first UpBeat Barre instructor with Down syndrome

Aubry Alldredge taught her first UpBeat Barre class to over 60 people at VASA Fitness in Kaysville last week. The 22-year-old is the first individual with Down syndrome to earn the certification. "I love to be on stage. I love exercise," Alldredge said. UpBeat Barre co-owner Jane Johnson said Alldredge learns routines fast and retains choreography. "She has an incredible brain," Johnson said.
For Alldredge, teaching exercises is about showing people of all abilities what is possible.
