Thousands of Roosters fans pack the SCG to greet double premiers

A sea of red, white and blue filled the SCG on Monday morning as thousands of Roosters fans welcomed home the NRL and NRLW champions. The players had been partying since the fulltime whistle, yet they still turned up for the 10am start. The men claimed a 16th title. The women won their third grand final, and did it through an undefeated season. It is the first time the Roosters men and women have won in the same year. The teams then paraded on an open-top bus.
Only one other club, Brisbane last year, has taken both grand finals in the same year, so the Roosters now sit in rare company.
