Divine Word University holds 18th Missioning Ceremony

Divine Word University, Madang Campus recently held its 18th Missioning Ceremony, commissioning final year students to serve their communities with compassion, integrity, and a genuine missionary spirit. Archbishop Douglas Young, SVD, urged students to view the world through the eyes of Christ and respond to the needs of others with empathy and understanding. Keynote speaker Mr. David Kitchnoge, Chief Investment Officer of Kumul Consolidated Holdings, challenged them to become leaders of character and purpose. He said Papua New Guinea needs people who can think with their hearts as well as their minds, and urged students to serve with humility, obedience, respect, and a spirit of service.
The ceremony sent final year students into their communities. They were urged to serve people with compassion and strong values, using the talents, knowledge, skills, strengths, and abilities they gained at Divine Word University.
