Debbie helps 79-year-old senior facing homelessness find affordable accommodation

A 79-year-old senior facing homelessness said Debbie of Langley Senior Resources Society (LSRS) connected them to New Vista and secured a safe, affordable place to stay. In a letter published by the Aldergrove Star on October 27, 2026, the senior thanked her for responding to an urgent housing crisis.
The writer said they were forced out of their home because of what they described as a false allegation. They spent the past month in a temporary guesthouse, but the cost became unsustainable.
Facing the prospect of having nowhere to go, the senior said they were on the verge of despair when Debbie stepped in. After hearing about their situation, she worked to find accommodation.
The letter was addressed to the executive director and management of Langley Senior Resources Society. The writer asked them to pass on their thanks and recognise Debbie for her service: “I will never forget what she and LSRS have done for me.”
The senior credited Debbie with saving their life and restoring their hope when they had nowhere else to turn.
