Secret World Wildlife Rescue opens new wildlife diagnostic suite
Wildlife carers at Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill opened a new diagnostic suite on Thursday October 1st, completing the See the Unseen: Wildlife X-ray Project. The facility provides on-site digital X-ray and ultrasound equipment for injured and orphaned British wildlife. Animals previously travelled to external veterinary practices for imaging. Staff have already used the ultrasound equipment to confirm that a female hedgehog found in a rat trap was pregnant.
Injured and orphaned British wildlife can receive faster diagnostic imaging on site, with less stress during treatment.
