Parksville festival volunteers help deliver record $89,270 donation

The Parksville Beach Festival Society donated $89,270 to organizations whose volunteers served as gate ambassadors at the 2026 Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition and Exhibition. The board presented the donations at Parksville City Hall ahead of Thanksgiving weekend, according to a society news release. Society president Cheryl Dill said sharing the festival’s success with the community was one of its most rewarding parts. Gate ambassadors greeted guests, counted attendance, answered questions and gathered feedback. More than 119,480 visitors attended the 2026 exhibition.
The donations support the organizations’ programs and community initiatives.
