Maryland man reunited with late father's dog after decade
Chris Becker hadn't seen his father's dog Rosie in 10 years. His father died in Maryland, and a girlfriend kept the dog until they lost touch. Somehow, Rosie turned up more than a thousand miles away in Hollywood, Florida, where iHeart Dog Rescue took her in. Staff traced her microchip to Becker in Maryland. "She wound up finding the owner's son, because two years after the dog was adopted, the owner died," said Cindy Mucciaccio, the rescue's president. Becker flew down to bring Rosie home.
Chris Becker gets back a living link to his late father, and Rosie gets to stay with family who loves her.
