Gibraltar U15s head to Baku for first FIFA U-15 World Cup

Gibraltar's Under-15 side travels to Baku, Azerbaijan, for the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival, which runs from October 24 to 30. Teams from 191 member associations will be represented, playing eight-a-side. Gibraltar arrive unbeaten in normal playing time from the recent UEFA Development Tournament in San Marino, where they drew with the hosts and beat Liechtenstein and Andorra. In Group V they face Bolivia, Paraguay, Seychelles and Tahiti, with the first fixtures on October 24.
Every nation keeps playing throughout the event, whatever its size, so Gibraltar's young players get real matches against opponents from other continents.
