Doonella Bridge upgrade reaches retaining wall milestone

Work on the Doonella Bridge upgrade has reached another significant milestone, with all retaining walls now completed. The work allows backfilling of the excavated road to start. Acting Major Projects and Transport Manager Kyrone Dodd said the project remains on schedule. Additional nightwork over the past six weeks has helped progress the project as it moves into the complex stage of relocating the sewer rising main and reconstructing the Telstra pit.
The completed retaining walls allow the excavated road to be backfilled as the project moves into its next phase.
