Bond University student places second at Asia-Pacific thesis final
On Wednesday 15 October 2025, eight finalists took part in the virtual Asia-Pacific Three Minute Thesis final. The competition featured universities across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Neil Delos Reyes, of Bond University's Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, took runner-up. His talk was titled "Spotting the Cure: How Hybrid Drugs Could Change the View for Dry AMD", according to the University of Queensland's competition site. Each finalist explained why their work matters.
People living with dry AMD benefit when early-career researchers take their work on new drug approaches to an international audience.
