AI-designed mRNA vaccine formulations hold up at 37 °C for more than 2 months

Solid-state mRNA vaccine formulations kept 100% of their bioactivity after more than 2 months at 37 °C, a study in Nature Biotechnology reports. Today's mRNA-lipid nanoparticle vaccines need ultra-cold storage. The team used an AI framework called AGENT, which reached the result in six iterations over 1 month. Tested in rodents and non-human primates, the dry doses drew immune responses non-inferior to freshly prepared soluble vaccines.
Ultra-cold storage limits how far mRNA vaccines can be distributed, and formulations that survive 37 °C go after that constraint directly.
